In
the lobby at Fountain Powerboats there are several dozen trophies on display. One of them
has the 27' Fever's name proudly etched on it. Competing head-to-head against boatings
most powerful names, Powerboat Magazine rated this amazing mix of performance, style and
value as its choice for Boat of the Year, noting that although it was one of the smaller
boats in our line, it still showcased everything that has made Fountain the world leader
in high performance boating circles. No shortcuts here. Owens Corning multi-stitched
fiberglass provides the finest strength to weight ratio on the water.
The 27' Fever is a text book example of
modern styling and space age construction. Integrated stringers and bulkheads combine with
high-density Klegecell foam coring to keep the shape true and prevent the boat from spring
boarding in even the most adverse water conditions. Additionally, the 27' Fever is one of
the few boats under 30-feet where the deck and hull are bonded together for a complete
unitized construction. At speed, you can immediately feel the difference. The boat refuses
to back down in swells and wind chop. In big water it takes the punishment without
complaining. One of the key reasons for the 27's ongoing popularity is its exterior
styling. The boat looks like a waterborne sports car. The deck, cockpit and transom area
are perfectly proportioned to match the seaworthy beam and draft. The 27' Fever turns
heads with custom hull graphics, color coordinated upholstery and a black plexiglass
venturi windshield that adds the perfect finishing touch.
